France vs USA Prediction & Betting Tips - Men's Olympic Tournament

The Olympic men's basketball tournament began with a shock, will it end with a repeat performance? The USA bid to win their fourth straight title but have to beat France to get their hands on the gold medal. The Americans began this tournament with a match against France. They led by eight points at one stage but France made a great comeback to secure a seven point victory. The USA have rallied since then though and won their next four matches with players such as Lillard and Tatum in fine form for them. The last eight saw them beat Spain 95-81 with Durant scoring 29 points. That took them into a semi-final against Australia and another shock looked possible. Australia went into half time with a lead but then America won the third quarter by 22 points and went on to win 97-78.

France went on to win their next two games after that surprise defeat of the USA. That saw them win the group and into a quarter final against Italy. That wasn't the easiest of tasks for them but the French side eventually won by nine points. The odds were against them again in the semi-finals as they faced Slovenia but went into the final quarter with a six point lead. Slovenia battled hard though but the French side went through 90-89. This is going to be even tougher and the USA will be out not just to win another gold medal but to get revenge on France for that early loss. Go for the USA to win this on a -6 point handicap.
