After two months of intense preparation, a favourable opening match for the Blues to kick-start their world cup campaign. France’s last warm up matches saw a close win over Scotland (19-16) and securing a home win against England, so they might have strung together two wins but it clearly reveals that they have some way to go before even hoping to play for the title. For the Italians,the Azzurri's addresses the competition in a total blur. Beaten twice by Scotland before undergoing the law of Welsh, Parisse's side will have to find a miracle if they intend to shake up this French side and take this opportunity to prepare for their crucial match against Ireland. Still a little tender on the international stage, the Italians are expected to suffer facing one of their Europeans rivals...

Italy seem to have made some progress but 2015 has been absolutely catastrophic for this side. Despite a solid pack and some talented players, including Parisse or Masi, the Italians remain limited at the back and no real leader in the game and some very unreliable scorers. The French have already crushed Italy at home during the Six Nations 2015 tournament earlier this year (0-29) and may well inflict pain in this opening match RWC game. Beefy in all lines, the Blues are very likely to take this one by more than a 13 point difference.
