France vs Ireland Prediction & Betting Tips - Six Nations
by Steve Ashfield | in Six Nations Predictions
The final weekend of the Six Nations championship could well turn into a mathematicians dream. This match is the final one of the championship and by the time it begins, the two sides will know what they need to do to become champions. Either of these sides or England can win the title and it's fully expected that England will win in Italy earlier in the day. If they get a big win and a bonus point, then there will still be three teams capable of winning the title.
One thing is certain, a win for Ireland and a bonus point will see them win the title, regardless of what England do. They have won three of their four games so far in this championship. Two of the wins came at home against Wales and Scotland and then a victory in Italy last weekend. The only loss was to England. They have won six of their last seven games against France. Away games against France have been mightily close in recent years. The last three have seen two wins for Ireland, a draw and a home win. The winning margin in the last four in France with a positive result have seen three won by a margin of one or two points.
France got their 2020 campaign off to a great start with a home win over England and followed that up with another win against Italy. Their first away game saw them defeat Wales but their Grand Slam hopes ended with a 28-17 defeat in Scotland. If they are to win their first title since 2010, they have to win this match and may need a bonus point if England get one in a win over Italy. They warmed up for this match with a win over Wales last weekend. Their coach has called for more consistency from his side. As good as the performance was against England, they haven't come close to that since.

Our France vs Ireland Prediction
A close finish looks guaranteed in this delayed Six Nations Championship. This is the last game and who will win the title will still not be confirmed even if England were to lose to Italy (they won't). France have shown good form and in the words of their coach, 'average' form. Ireland have been consistent with their only loss being to England. This is going to be close and Ireland have had good results against the French in recent years. Go for them to win this game, though even that might not win them the title.
All tips are fully researched and given in good faith, but profits cannot be guaranteed.
