Miami Grand Prix Predictions & Betting tips - Formula 1

The Formula 1 season moves to the United States for the sixth round of the 2024 season this weekend at the Miami Grand Prix. Max Verstappen leads the driver standards, currently 27 points ahead of teammate Sergio Perez and 35 ahead of third-placed Charles Leclerc.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has clinched pole position for the Miami GP, making him the first driver to achieve that feat in the opening six rounds of the F1 season since Alain Prost in 1993. The Dutchman, who won the last two editions of the Miami GP, is once again the favorite for victory, given the dominance of the RB20 in the 2024 season. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will line up second and third on the grid, respectively, for the race at the Miami International Autodrome. While Leclerc looked set to challenge for pole, he fell short by a tenth of a second, finishing just ahead of Sainz, who was involved in an impeding incident during Q3, potentially attracting the attention of the stewards for obstructing Nico Hulkenberg.
Sergio Perez qualified fourth for Red Bull, ahead of Lando Norris. Norris originally opted for the medium tire for his first run to assess tire performance over a full lap, considering the significant degradation on the softs. Meanwhile, Mercedes chose to start on softs but switched to mediums for their final flying laps due to a shortage of fresh softs. George Russell claimed seventh, with Lewis Hamilton in eighth. Fernando Alonso was a surprising omission from Q3, starting from P15, while his teammate Lance Stroll also failed to advance. Aston Martin faced difficulties throughout qualifying following their earlier misfortune in the Sprint race. Stroll and Alonso will start from P11 and P15, respectively, in the Miami Grand Prix. Despite a promising performance in Sprint Qualifying on Friday afternoon, Logan Sargeant was once again outqualified by his teammate Alex Albon and will start his home race from 17th on the grid.
