Filip Krajinovic vs Damir Dzumhur Prediction & Betting Tips - Open Sud de France

Filip Krajinovic bids for a place in the semi-finals of the Sud de France Open. The fifth seed is up against qualifier Damir Dzumhur with the winner taking on either second seed Roberto Bautista Agut or Alexander Bublik. Krajinovic is 36th in the world, a rise of six places since the start of the year. 2022 has seen him play in the ATP Cup and Australian Open before this return to Europe. He won two out of three matches in the ATP Cup but didn't beat anyone in the top 100. In the first Grand Slam of the year, Krajinovic lost in straight sets in round one to Diego Schwartzmann. He's played this tournament on two previous occasions and played well both times. 2019 saw him lose in the last eight and the following year lost to Gael Monfils in the semi-finals. This year has seen him beat both Alexei Popyrin and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight sets.

Damir Dzumhur began this tournament ranked 152nd in the world. In 2018 though he was high as 23rd in the rankings but hasn't been in the top 100 since February 2020. This run to the quarter finals has him at 141st in the live rankings.  He had to play three qualifiers to reach the first round of the Australian Open. That got him into the first round where he lost to Pablo Andujar, winning just seven games. His other two tournaments this year have both been Challenger Tour events. Last week saw him lose to world number 261 Andrey Kuznetsov in straight sets. Dzumhur has found some form this week though and won two qualifiers in straight sets to reach the main draw. He then beat Alex Molcan in the first round (winning the second set to love) and then defeated fourth seeded (but inconsistent) Nikoloz Basilashvili in three sets. Back Krajinovic to win and reach a second semi-final in Montpellier.
