Felix Auger Aliassime vs Carlos Alcaraz Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Indian Wells

Second seed Carlos Alcaraz takes on 31st seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime in the third round of the outdoor hard court Indian Wells tournament. The winner will face unseeded opposition in the last 16, either qualifier Thiago Seyboth Wild or Fabian Marozsan. Alcaraz is ranked second at present but down to third in the live list. The 20-year-old hasn't played a great deal this year due to injuries. He had to retire from his match in the recent outdoor clay court tournament in Rio due to a sprained ankle. So far this year his best performances have been reaching the last eight of the Australian Open and a semi-final on clay in Rio. His first match of this tournament saw him have to go to a final set to get past unseeded Matteo Arnaldi. The first set was the one lost but Alcaraz only dropped one game in the next two.

Felix Auger-Aliassime will want to continue his good record against Carlos Alcaraz. He won his first three matches against the Spaniard (one on an outdoor hard court) but the last victory was in 2022. His form has dipped since then and their last meeting was won by Alcaraz here last year losing in straight sets. Auger-Aliassime has again struggled to find consistency this year. He did reach the third round of the Australian Open but lost in straight sets to Daniil Medvedev. His best performance was getting to the last four in Montpellier but he's failed to get past the last 16 in his last two tournaments. So far in Indian Wells he's had a straight sets win over qualifier Constant Lestienne. We tip Alcaraz to win this in straight sets.
