Fifth seed Andrey Rublev’s quest for another Qatar Open crown continues as he meets unseeded Felix Auger-Aliassime in the semi-finals. This marks their seventh career meeting and the winner will play Carlos Alcaraz, Jiri Lehecka, Matteo Berrettini or Jack Draper for the title. Below is our prediction for this match.

Getting to the semis, Auger-Aliassime has equalled his best-ever result in Doha. The world number 21 lost in the semis on his debut in 2023.

With his superb form this season, he is favoured to bag the title. Auger-Aliassime has won 11 of 14 matches and claimed two titles.

The 24-year-old, who has played just one set in his last two matches, defeated third Daniil Medvedev in the quarter-finals. Medvedev, a former Doha champion, retired immediately after the first set.

Andrey Rublev has won five times in six meetings with Auger-Aliassime. This dominant hold in this fixture will have him confident of continuing his quest for another Doha title.

Rublev, who has won seven of 11 matches, triumphed here in 2020. He also has earned one runner-up finish.

To advance to his fourth semi-final in this event, the Russian battled through three sets to defeat second seed Alex de Minaur. Progressing to his second semi-final of the season has bumped him up one place to ninth in the live ranking.
