Felix Auger Aliassime vs Alexander Zverev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Mutua Madrid Open

Defending champion Alexander Zverev takes on eighth seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime in the Madrid Masters quarter finals. The winner of this match will face either Stefanos Tsitsipas or Andrey Rublev in the last four. Zverev is the second seed for this tournament but ranked third in the world. He is yet to win a tournament this year but did get to the final in Montpellier losing to Alexander Bublik. The last 16 of the Australian Open but he's had better years. His form on clay has been mixed this year. He made it through to the last four in Monte Carlo but lost to eventual winner Stefanos Tsitsipas. Last week in Munich, he lost in his first match, being beaten by Holgar Rune, who went on to win the title. This week has seen him come from behind to beat Marin Cilic. He then took on Lorenzo Musetti, winning the first set 6-3 and leading 1-0 in the second before his opponent retired. He leads Auger-Aliassime 4-2 in head-to-head results but lost their most recent match at the start of this year in the ATP Cup. On clay though, Zverev has won their only previous match.

Felix Auger-Aliassime is in his third consecutive clay court quarter final. He lost the other two to players ranked below him. Prior to those tournaments in Barcelona and Estoril, the Canadian reached the last 16 in Marrakech and in his first match in Monte Carlo to Lorenzo Musetti. 2022 has seen him win his first ATP Tour event with success in the hard court tournament held in Rotterdam. He was also one half of the Canadian team that won the ATP Cup right at the start of the year. He has had two wins this week, beating Cristian Garin and 10th seeded Jannik Sinner and only lost six games in doing so.  This is tougher and Zverev can get the win, though it might take three sets.
