Felix Auger-Aliassime is ranked 36th in the latest list so still outside the seeding positions. He takes on qualifier Adam Walton in the first round of the Miami Open. It'll get much more difficult in round two as the scheduled opponent is fourth seed Alexander Zverev. That's the problem Auger-Aliassime now that's he isn't a seed anymore. He's still not got the level of consistency he had when climbing into the top ten of the rankings. He reached the last 32 at the Australian Open but was no match for Daniil Medvedev who won in straight sets. His best performance of the year has come indoors in Montpellier where making it to the last four. His last tournament was at Indian Wells where he won his first round match but then took on eventual winner Carlos Alcaraz and only won five games. 

Adam Walton was ranked 150th when this tournament began. The Australian had to go through the qualifiers to get into this main draw. That was a difficult task and against both Thiago Monteiro and then Pedro Martinez (seeded eighth), he had to come from a set down to get the victory. Those wins have taken him up to 135th in the live rankings, ten places higher than the career high he set last month. Walton is in the main draw of an ATP Tour event for only the third time this year. The others were both in Australia and January and he failed to win a match or a set. He's spent most of his time on the Challenger Tour with one title won and a final reached. We tip Auger-Aliassime to win this match in straight sets.
