Federico Coria vs Timofey Skatov Prediction & Betting Tips - Concepcion, Chile, Qualifying

Federico Coria is the top seed for the Concepcion Challenger Tour event. He's made it through to the final and takes on eighth seeded Timofey Skatov. Coria is the only top 100 ranked player in this Chilean clay court tournament. He's up three places in the live rankings and winning this title will see him rise to 69th. That's still 17 places below his career ranking of 52nd achieved last year. Coria is bidding to win his fifth Challenger Event in what is his 11th final at this level. All of those title deciders have been played on clay. He's had to win four matches to get to this final with only one set being dropped. In the last four, the Argentinian defeated sixth seeded Hugo Dellien for the loss of only three games.

Timofe Skatov began this clay court event in 144th place. His run to this final sees him up to 129th in the live rankings and winning the title will see rise to 114th. Hailing from Khazkhastan, the 22-year-old had a career high ranking of 141st so this has been a special week for him. 2023 has so far seen him win one and lose one in the United Cup, though his defeat was to a player ranked 260th at the time. He then lost to Nicolas Jarry in the second qualifying round of the Australian Open after leading by a set. He's happier on clay though and last October won his first Challenger Tour event in Parma, Italy. This tournament has seen Skatov drop just one set. That was in the last eight when he beat second seeded Alejandro Tabilo. He led Facundo Diaz Acosta 7-5 1-1 when his opponent retired.  He did win their only match last year but Coria is the much higher ranked player and can get the win in this final.
