Unseeded Federico Coria will play wildcard Leo Borg will on Wednesday in the second round of the Swedish Open. Federico Coria is a former finalist here and will hope to go one better in what is his third appearance in Bastad. The Argentine is a strong performer on clay. This has allowed him to play two finals on the surface, winning once despite his struggles so far. Coria has lost more matches, 17, than he has won. Fourteen of the 15 victories he has managed have come on clay. The latest was a three-set success over eighth seed Sebastian Baez to begin his campaign here. Leo Borg will hope home support pushes him past this round for the first time. Borg has already set a new personal record in Bastad by advancing to this round. Before this season, he had never played a main draw match here. He was in fine form in his first-round victory over fellow countryman Elias Ymer. Borg won the tie in straight sets with the victory being his 20th of the season. He has had a topsy-turvy campaign and has won only five more matches than he has lost. Ten of his victories though have come on clay and he will be confident of subduing Coria here. Borg has won two challenger titles this season with one coming on clay. His win over Ymer has catapulted him up 48 places in the live ranking to 389th which is a new career high for him. The winner here will play the winner of the tie between fourth seed Francisco Cerundolo and unseeded Luca Van Assche next.
