Federer vs Steve Johnson Prediction & Betting Tips - Wimbledon
by in ATP Wimbledon Championships Predictions
With Novak Djokovic out of Wimbledon, Roger Federer must be eyeing up another title. So far he's not dropped a set in this tournament but has had a pretty easy draw. Having to face two British players, neither of them called Murray is always helpful. He did have to endure two tie breaks in the first round though and I think he may well have to go down that route again against Steve Johnson. His opponent is ranked 29 in the world and caused a shock in the last round when beating Gregor Dimitrov. He dropped the first set but went on to win the next three. Before that he'd had two straight sets wins. Tie breaks have been a big feature of his three games at Wimbledon so far. He's been involved in four out of the ten sets he played and another one was on the horizon until he won a set 7-5. Johnson is in form having won the pre-Wimbledon tournament in Nottingham (four more tie breaks there) and lost in the quarter finals at Queens. I won't put anyone off betting on Federer to win this but there should be at least one tight set and I can see a tie break here.
