The fact Novak Djokovic has been knocked out of this tournament is great news for Roger Federer. He still has Andy Murray to contend with of course but at least he has a good chance of making it to another final and then anything could happen. It's been plain sailing for the Swiss legend so far with a series of straight sets wins (playing two Brits neither of whom were called Murray helps a lot). He has a much tougher task here against Marin Cilic who is seeded ninth in this tournament. Federer does have a good record against his opponent with five wins out of six. The only time Cilic beat him was in the 2014 US Open. Cilic has had a good run so far only dropping one set, he had a bit of luck in the last round coming up against an injured Kei Nishikori who eventually retired hurt in the second set. A tougher game for Federer, probably one he needs actually before the likely clash with Murray in the final and he can win this in three closely fought sets.
