Barcelona will be at home to welcome Olympiacos for game five of their EuroLeague quarterfinal playoff matchup. The series is tied at 2-2 with the winner here progressing to the Final Four. Barcelona were out of sorts in game four in Greece and lost 92-58. They had taken the lead in this series for the first time in game three as they won 82-80. In that game, they shot 44% both from three and the field but this wasn’t the case in game four. Roger Grimau’s men struggled from behind the arc, shooting 23% and managing to score just five of their 22 attempted threes. But with an impressive home record this season, Barca will be confident of progressing. The Spanish heavyweights finished the regular season with a 15-2 home record, the joint-best home record. Barcelona have qualified for the final four in each of the last three seasons. They are averaging 73 points in this series and are shooting 27.8% from the field. The two-time EuroLeague champions do not have any major concerns coming into this game. They defeated Gran Canaria 95-89 over the weekend in domestic league action.

Olympiacos struggled against Barcelona in the regular season and lost both home and away to them. This hasn’t been the case in the postseason as they have matched them in the series. They have won both home and away and will be confident of producing another winning result here. Olympiacos began the series excellently and won game one 77-75. In that game, they dominated their hosts inside and shot 63% from two-pointers. They would again dominate from inside the arc in game two and shot 78% but were let down by their three-point shooting. Georgios Bartzokas’ men converted just eight of 27 attempted threes in game two and lost 77-69. Olympiacos shot 37% from three in the regular season but this has gone down to 34% in the postseason. The Greek heavyweights have qualified for the final four in each of the last two seasons. Last year, they made the championship match but lost the Real Madrid. The Reds haven’t had any domestic engagements since game four and have had ample time to prepare for this match. Olympiacos entered the postseason having won 10 of 11 regular season games. Giannoulis Larentzakis suffered an ankle injury in game four but has been included in the squad for this trip. Olympiacos are averaging 79.5 points in this series and are shooting 50% from the field.
