Week 11 in the EuroLeague will conclude with Barcelona playing host to Lyon-Villeurbanne on Friday evening. These two sides are at opposite ends of the table with the hosts currently in second place while the visitors are second from the bottom. After ten matches, Barcelona is trailing their arch-rival, Real Madrid, by four points. They have recorded eight wins and two losses and have a points differential of 69. Barca secured a hard-fought win against Maccabi Tel Aviv in their last match in this competition. Nico Laprovittola was the standout performer in the match, scoring 23 points, which helped his team to a narrow 92-90 victory. The hosts' only defeats this term were against Real Madrid and Baskonia, though both of those were away games. They have won each of their last ten home games, dating back to mid-September, and are the favourites to win this one as well. 

Meanwhile, ASVEL played their first match in their brand-new arena against Bayern last time out. However, unfortunately for LDLC, they were unable to mark the occasion with a victory, losing the match 101-100 after two periods of overtime. Lyon recorded a 42.3% conversion from the field and connected with 39.4% of their shots from downtown in the match. That result marked their eighth loss in the competition, leaving them just two points above bottom club Alba Berlin and six below the sides in the top half of the table. Notably, though, both their wins this season came on the road while they are still searching for their first home win of the campaign. ASVEL lost the last match against this opponent, 82-75, back in January, and all indicators suggest that they are likely to find it very tough to come out with a victory in this one.
