Eighth seed Casper Ruud faces unseeded Fabio Fognini for a place in round three at Wimbledon. Whoever makes it through will take on either unseeded opposition, either Roberto Bautista Agut or Lorenzo Sonego.

Ruud remains in eighth place in the rankings after his first round straight sets win over qualifier Alex Bolt in round one. He's doing better in the ATP Race and is currently fourth but that's mainly due to his results on clay this year.

Ruud is in the second round at Wimbledon for the third year in a row. However, he's never made it to the third round of this grass court Grand Slam event. This is his first grass court tournament of the year and he dropped 14 games in his first match.

Fabio Fognini has made it to the third round at Wimbledon on six previous occasions including four of the past five years. The Italian is a former top-ten ranked player but began this tournament ranked 94th. He's up ten places in the live rankings after his first round win.

That was a straight sets victory over Luca Van Assche who was in the main draw as a lucky loser. Fognini only played one grass court warm-up tournament this year. He won his opening match in last week's Mallorca Open but then lost to Jakub Mensik after winning the opening set.

Only once this year has he won two matches in an ATP Tour event. We go for Ruud to finally make it into round three at Wimbledon.
