England will head into their final group match against Pakistan on Tuesday at Newlands in a great mood, knowing that regardless of the outcome of this match, they will still advance to the semi-finals of the tournament. England has looked excellent throughout the tournament, kicking off with an excellent display against the West Indies in the first match, winning by seven wickets and five overs to spare. They followed that up with another impressive win over Ireland before showing their grit to grind out a result over India in a tense match that was eventually decided by an 11-run margin. Nat Sciver-Brunt contributed an even 50 while captain Heather Knight and Amy Jones chipped in with 28 and 40 runs, respectively, to the tally in that crucial match. The spin combination of Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn has been difficult to overlook, with the pair taking 13 wickets in the tournament so far. Despite having already qualified, England will not want to step off the gas as a win in this match will see them finish top of the group which will mean that they will not have to play the reigning champions, Australia, in the semi-final.

Pakistan will be disappointed that they have only been able to win one of the three matches in the tournament after a nerve-wracking loss to the West Indies erased their hopes of qualifying for the next round. Pakistan put on a strong display against India in their opening match and followed up with a romping win over Ireland, where Muneeba Ali scored the only century in the tournament to date. Meanwhile, with the ball, Nashra Sandhu will be hoping for another good performance at Newlands, where she has already picked up six of her seven wickets this tournament. Pakistan will want to end the tournament on a high note but are likely to find it difficult against this in-form England side.
