England vs Ireland Prediction & Betting Tips - Six Nations
by Steve Ashfield | in Six Nations Predictions
Ireland could win the 2024 Six Nations title on Saturday. That will be the case if they can beat England at Twickenham and also secure a bonus point. After the first three matchdays of this year's championship they lead the table by six points from Scotland with England in third but seven adrift of the Irish team. Ireland are already 60 percent of the way to a second successive Grand Slam title after last year's triumph.Limited Offer. Currently at DraftKings

England - Ireland: Form Analysis
Ireland are two matches away from a second successive Six Nations title. Not just that but a win in this match at Twickenham and then a home win over Scotland will see them achieve a second Grand Slam in a row. It's been a highly impressive Six Nations for the Irish side so far this year. They began the defence of their title with a 38-17 win in France. A comfortable 36-0 home win over Italy followed and then another home victory, this time beating Wales by 31 points to seven. That's three wins and a points difference of +81 which is 75 higher than any of the other five teams in the tournament. Along with Scotland they are the only sides to have a positive points difference. Ireland have won 21 of their last 22 matches, the only loss was to New Zealand in the 2023 Rugby World Cup. A win over England will make it 13 successive wins in the Six Nations.
England have to win this match and if possible score four tries and earn a bonus point. They won their first couple of matches in this year's Six Nations but struggled to do so. They trailed at the break away to Italy, eventually winning by just three points. Next up was a home game against Wales and they again found themselves down at half-time. A nine-point deficit was made up and the English side ended up winning 16-14. Their hopes of a Triple Crown ended when losing away in Scotland in their last match. Again they were behind at half time but there was no fightback this time and they lost the match 30-21. England have lost their last four matches against Ireland. The most recent match was a World Cup warm-up match in Dublin last year with the home side winning by 19 points. In the Six Nations, Ireland have won the last three meetings, including a win at Twickenham in 2022.

England & Ireland Squad Analysis
Ireland will have full-back Hugo Keenan available for this game. He didn't play against Wales due to a knee injury but is fit and will start at Twickenham and replaces Ciaran Frawley. That's the only change from the team that beat Wales. James Ryan won't be on the bench though. He's got a bicep injury and will take no further part in this tournament.
England have made three changes from the team that lost to Scotland in their last game. Winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso comes into the starting line-up. Also being included are Jamie George and George Martin.
