Winning the Six Nations championship is looking beyond England. They are fourth and host France who are second, three points ahead of them and with a game in hand. England are the defending champions but have lost two of their three matches in this year's event. They have lost to both Scotland (at home) and away at Wales. Their only win was in a home match against Italy. That's left them eight points behind leaders Wales, who take on Italy this weekend. England have made three changes for this match with Max Malins making his first start for them. Also coming into the team are Luke Cown-Dickie (hooker) and in the second row, Charlie Ewels. Coach Eddie Jones sees this as a match whre after recent losses, they will want to "show what we are capable of." England lost away to France in last year's Six Nations and struggled to beat a weakened French line-up in the final of the Autumn Nations Cup.
France have won both of their matches in this year's Six Nations Championship. They are second, five points behind Wales (who they are yet to play at home) and with a game in hand. Their scheduled home game against Scotland last month was postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the French camp. So far, they have had a 50-10 away win against Italy and then had another win in Ireland by a 15-13 scoreline. You have to go back to 2005 for the last time France won a Six Nations match against England at Twickenham. This is a good chance to achieve a win and with two home games remaining, a Grand Slam could be on the cards.
