England vs France Prediction & Betting Tips - Autumn Nations Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in Rugby Predictions
The first ever Autumn Nations Cup final takes place this Sunday at Twickenham. It's not been the most spectacular of tournaments and this final between England and France has already hit trouble. France won't be able to play many of their top players in this match. That's because of an agreement made with clubs in the Top 14 to only include players in three Autumn fixtures. That limit has been met so this game will see France including several players from their successful under-20s squad. Rather than this being a classic final, it's more a glimpse into the future. We'll have a good idea of how France will get on in future Six Nations tournaments once this game has been played.
England are the overwhelming favourites to add the Autumn Nations Cup to the Six Nations title they recently won. So far in this tournament, they have beaten Georgia and Ireland at home, then won away in Wales. France have only had to play two games due to the health problems that Fiji have had. An away win in Scotland and a home victory over Italy has taken them into this final. With so many players missing though, their chances of winning look very slim indeed. England have won their last seven internationals and also their last seven home games against France. The suggested bet is one on England to win on a -17 handicap.
