England vs France Prediction & Betting Tips - Six Nations
by Steve Ashfield | in Six Nations Predictions
France bid to build on their opening week Six Nations win. After beating Wales at home last week, they are top of the Six Nations and travel to England who lost their opening match. Can Les Bleus win at fourth-placed England? Read our match prediction.
England's inconsistent form continued in Dublin last weekend. Again, they managed to get themselves into a good position only to fade away in the second half. Playing well for an entire 80 minutes is their big problem at present and has been so for a while now.
France didn't just manage to win their opening Six Nations match against Wales. They won without conceding a point at home to the struggling Welsh side. The return of Antoine Dupont (who was busy preparing for the Paris Olympics last year) has strengthened the French side. His influence may again come to the fore this weekend and France are the favorites to get a fourth straight win over England.

England - France: Form Analysis
England have lost six of their last seven internationals. Their only win in that period of matches was a home victory over Japan. Three home matches against New Zealand, South Africa and Australia in the Autumn Series were all lost.
Their first half performances are usually strong but after the break is when they struggle. That was shown again last week when they led by five points in Dublin but ended up losing 27-22 to Ireland.
They have lost their last three matches against France and were beaten 53-10 at home two years ago.
France are in winning form at present.
France beat Wales 43-0 last weekend with the return of Antoine Dupont helping them dominate that match. Les Bleus have won four of their last five matches, the other being a home loss to Argentina.
Only two of their last ten matches have ended in defeat, the other side beating them being Ireland in last year's Six Nations.

England & France Squad Analysis
After the away loss to Ireland in their opening Six Nations fixture, England have made a change at fly-half. Fin Smith will be playing in that position against France with Marcus Smith being in the number 15 jersey. Left out of the squad has been Freddie Steward.
First Test cap for Tom Willis.
Tom Willis will be starting at number eight and will be earning his first Test cap for England. Both of the Curry brothers are again in the starting line-up.
Vice-captain Ellis Genge remains in the loosehead prop position for the home side. Will Stuart is tighthead prop and it'll again be Luke Cowan-Dickie at hooker.
France will be without Romain Ntamack for this match. He was sent off in the win over Wales last weekend. Matthieu Jalibert comes into the side for his first Test since last November when France played Japan.
During the Autumn Series, Tomas Ramos was number 10 for the French team. This weekend will see him back at his preferred position of full-back. Paul Boudehent has overcome his injury and will be playing against England.
