After last week's narrow 24-22 loss to New Zealand, England look to get back into winning ways with a home victory over Australia. England lost by just two points to New Zealand last week but so nearly won that international fixture. In the end that was a disappointing result for England who led the match by eight points at one stage. A cautious approach was then carried out by the English side. If they can get a similar lead this weekend, they need to ensure it is kept and victory achieved.
Australia have lost their last three internationals and had a disappointing Rugby Championship. They will want to start getting some better results and will be glad there's no World Cup on the horizon. That gives them a chance to rebuild and get some wins under their belt ahead of the upcoming British and Irish Lions tour. Here's our match prediction.

England - Australia: Form Analysis
England were ahead against New Zealand last week but ended up losing by two points. That was their third successive defeat but all have been at the hands of the All-Blacks. They have a good recent record against Australia with two wins down under and haven't been beaten by them since July 2022.
The last four matches played against Australia at Twickenham have all been won by England. Of the 29 home games played against the Wallabies, 17 have been won with 11 losses and one draw.
Australia struggling for form this year.
Australia have lost ten of their last 11 matches against England at Twickenham, last getting a win in 2015. They have lost their last three internationals, one against Argentina and two versus New Zealand. 131 points have been conceded in those three matches with Argentina scoring 67 against them. The only win they've had in their last six matches was against Argentina with the other five all being lost.

There will be a change in midfield for England as they take on Australia at Twickenham. Ollie Lawrence and Henry Slade will be switching positions from those they had against New Zealand last weekend. Lawrence will now have the 13 jersey with Slade having 12 on his back.
Marcus Smith gets the nod ahead of George Ford who will again start the match on the bench. A couple of changes have been made to the replacements with Ollie Sleightholme and Luke Cowan-Dickie coming into the squad.
Suaalli makes his international debut.
Australia are struggling but will make just one change from the starting line-up that was beaten by New Zealand in their final Rugby Championship fixture. 21-year-old Joseph-Aukoso Suaalii makes his interntional debut in the number 13 jersey.. Big things are expected from him as he switches from rugby league to rugby unon but this will be a tough debut away against England.

England look to bounce back from last weekend's loss to New Zealand. Their players will be out to put in a good performance and hopefully book their places in the British and Irish Lions squad to tour Australia next year. England came close to winning last weekend and may well have done if not being so cautious when in the lead. That has to change this weekend.
