England welcomes Argentina to Twickenham for this Autumn International. Both teams will have one eye on next year’s World Cup so we can expect a fair amount of experimentation when the teams are announced. The home team last played in July and had a highly successful tour of Australia where they beat the Wallabies 2-1 in the test series. The victory was a good way to erase memories of their woeful Six Nations campaign that saw them win just two of their matches. England will welcome the news that Owen Farrell has been declared fir for this match after concussion ruled him out of his last match for Saracens. The home side have held a stranglehold over the Pumas in recent years winning the last ten matches against them. The one and only time England lost at Twickenham to the visitors was back in 2006 and they will be hoping that record stays intact.

Argentina have been in managerial turmoil coming into this match as coach Michael Cheika has been helping the Lebanon national team prepare for their match in the Rugby League World Cup. It remains to be seen if having just 48 hours with this Argentinian side will be enough for them to upset the heavily favoured home team. The Pumas will be out to avoid a fourth straight defeat as they lost their last three matches in the Rugby Championship to finish the competition in last place. It was a strange tournament for them as they led after three rounds and even claimed their first ever win over New Zealand on their home ground but the wheels fell off in the final three rounds.
