Emma Raducanu vs Maria Sakkari Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA US Open

New British number one 18-year-old Emma Raducanu has had an amazing run of form since June.  The unseeed player is through to the semi-finals of the US Open women's single and takes on 17th seed Maria Sakkari. Raducanu was a lowly 366th at the end of May and few outside the game knew about her. That all changed when making it to the last 16 at Wimbledon. That was just the start of her success and reaching the final of a WTA125 tournament took her up to 150th in the rankings. Raducanu had to play three matches to get into the main draw, so it's been eight wins to get to this semi-final. Now her live ranking is up to 51st and she's the top ranked British player.  Raducanu has had victories over Stefane Vogele, Zhang Shuai, Sara Sorribes Tormo, Shelby Rogers and 11th seeded Olympic champion Belinda Bencic have taken her into this semi-final. 

Maria Sakkari is up to 13th in the live rankings. A win over Raducanu will take her into the top ten for the first time. This is her second Grand Slam semi-final, the other being at the French Open this year. That match was nearly won against Barbora Krejcikova but the Greek player lost 9-7 in the final set. Form dipped a little bit after that but has returned in New York. Sakkari has had wins against Marta Kostyuk, Katerina Siniakova and then three seeds, Petra Kvitova, Bianca Andreescu and in the last eight Karolina Pliskova. Just one set has been lost, with Andreescu winning that in the last 16. Sakkari is serving well and was shocked to learn that against Pliskova, 22 consecutive service points had been won.
