Emma Raducanu vs Caroline Garcia Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Indian Wells
by Steve Ashfield | in Tennis Predictions
Emma Raducanu returns to the court to take on Caroline Garcia in the Indian Wells first round. The world number 13 hasn't played a match since retiring against Daria Savill in Guadaljara last month. The Birtish player will be hoping to get her career back on track after some disappointing results this year. Raducanu has played four matches this year and her only win was over Sloane Stephens in the first round of the Australian Open. The US Open winner has had injury problems and is 101st in the WTA Race with only 82 ranking points earned this year.
Caroline Garcia is ranked 66th in the world but at 34th in the WTA Race with 317 points. That's way below the fourth place that the French player achieved four years ago. This year has seen her reach the quarter final in Melbourne, losing to Barbora Krejcikova but she had beaten Jessica Pegula earlier in the tournament. Simona Halep was beaten by Garcia in Doha and last week saw her make it to the semi-finals in Lyon. Her best performance at Indian Wells has been a the last 16, that's been achieved on three occasions. Garcia is in the better form and can get a win over Raducanu.
