Emma Raducanu vs Ajla Tomljanovic Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Wimbledon Championships

Emma Raducanu was given a wild card to take part in the 2021 Wimbledon championships. The 18-year-old British player has made the most of her opportunity by getting to the last 16. Radcanu faces Ajla Tomljanovic on Court One, with the winner taking on either world number one Ashleigh Barty or French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova. Raducanu is the world number 338 and before this week had earned just $4,000 in prize money. She's guaranteed £180,000 for getting this far at Wimbledon and another £120,000 is on its way if winning this match. Who said prize money in tennis is ridiculously high?  The 18-year-old is up to 175th in the live rankings and more wild cards are likely to be heading in her direction soon. Wins have come against Vitalia Diatchenko,  Marketa Vondrousova (ranked nearly 300 places above her) and then Sorana Cirstea in round three, all without dropping a set. 

Ajla Tomljanovic is ranked 75th in the world, lower than the last two opponents beaten by Raducanu. She's up to 64th in the live ranking and 42nd in the live WTA Race. Her highest ever ranking is 39th and that was achieved two years ago. The Australian had not previously got past the second round at Wimbledon. Not a great deal has been achieved by her in Grand Slams and her last 22 had seen her fail to make it to the third round. Her best ever performance in a Grand Slam has been matched. The last time she got to a fourth round was at the 2014 French Open. Not since September 2019 has she made it to the last eight of a tournament and 14 of her 30 matches played before this week had been lost. This week has seen her get wins over Greet Minnen, Alize Cornet in three sets and then Jelena Ostapenko in the third round. Raducanu has so far handled everything that has been thrown at her. The tough part really is continuing this kind of form in future tournaments. Back her to get a win here and make the last eight.
