Unseeded Emilio Nava and the wildcard Eliot Spizzirri will square off on Saturday at the US Open qualifiers. The winner of this final-round qualifier will advance to the main draw. Nava is in good form and has won his two rounds here without dropping a set. He defeated Andrea Vavassori by the loss of nine games in the last round. This was his eighth win in his last 10 outings as he arrived here after his runner-up finish at the Stanford challenger. He is now up to 154th in the live ranking which is a career high for him. The American has won the majority, 18, of his 30 wins this season on hard court. His highlight of the season however came on clay as he won his only title thus far in the Modena challenger.

Eliot Spizzirri is in the best form he has been all season. This is the first time in 2023 that the young American has won back-to-back matches. It has allowed him to advance this far in qualifying for a Grand Slam for the first time. The wildcard began by defeating Matteo Gigante in three sets before a surprising 2-0 victory against 18th seed Alexander Kovacevic. Spizzirri made his season debut in July. His participation at the Bloomfield Hills challenger also marked his career debut in the challenger circuit. He has however struggled with his form and has managed only three wins in eight outings. All three wins however have been on hard court. He is currently ranked outside the ATP top 1000.
