Fourth seed Emiliana Arango faces unseeded Lucrezia Stefanini in the first round of the Copa Colsanitas in Bogota, Colombia. The winner will be up against either wild card Maria Jose Sanchez Uribe or a qualifier in round two. Here's our match prediction.

Arango is 84th in the live rankings which is five places below her career-high. The Colombian has had a successful 2025 with 14 of her 19 matches being won. A hard court title was won in Cancun before a run to the final of the WTA event in Merida.

Six matches were won in the latter tournament but she lost the final to Emma Navarro without winning a game.

Now the 24-year-old returns to clay, a surface on which she has won one WTA Challenger title and two on the ITF Circuit. This is her sixth match against Stefanini and she leads 3-2. Only one has been on clay with Arango winning in straight sets last year.

Lucrezia Stefanini is at 148th in the live rankings. This year has seen the Italian reach four ITF circuit quarter-finals on  hard courts but has not had any WTA Tour main draw victories. On clay, Stefanini has lost six of her last eight matches and was beaten in round one here in 2024.
