The top half of the Miami Masters sees Emil Ruusuvouri take on Yannick Hanfmann. A match against 19th seed Adrian Mannarino is the next task for the winner in this outdoor hard court tournament. Ruusuvouri is ranked 48th in the latest ranking list but 30th in the ATP Live Race. He'll be hoping for a better tournament than at Indian Wells where he was beaten by Dusan Lajovic in the first round. His form had been good before that with a run to the last eight of the Doha outdoor hard court tournament. He lost to Karen Khachanov after having to retire injured in the first set. Ruusuvouri also got to the last eight indoors in Rotterdam but his best performance was in January when being runner up to Andrey Rublev in Hong Kong where he did beat Khachanov.

Yannick Hanfmann has seen his best performance of the year come on clay in Cordoba. He's not been playing too well at all on hard courts this year, both indoors and outdoor. He made it to round two at Indian Wells but then played in the Phoenix Challenger Tour event and was beaten in round one by Emilio Nava (ranked 134th at the time) and only won four games. He lost in round one of this year's Australian Open and has only won two hard court matches so far this year. We tip Ruusuvouri to win this match and do so in straight sets.
