Emil Ruusuvuori vs Daniil Medvedev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Italian Open

The second round of the Rome Masters continues on Saturday with unseeded Emil Ruusuvuori taking on third seed Daniil Medvedev in what should be a high-quality clay court match.. Currently ranked 43rd in the world, Emil Ruusuvuori comes to Rome after a second-round loss in the Madrid Masters, where he came up against the eventual winner, Carlos Alcaraz. The Finn is now 17-14 for the year and 5-4 on the clay. It's been a tough season for Ruusuvuori this year, with his only performance of note coming in Miami, where he managed to reach the quarter-finals but ran into an in-form Jannik Sinner. That was followed by a first-round exit in Monte Carlo and a third-round exit in Barcelona a week later. Ruusuvuori took on Ugo Humber in the first round here in Rome, and after an incredible final set, the Finn came out on top (6-4 3-6 7-6). 

Ranked third in the world, Medvedev comes into this tournament having already played in five tournament finals this year and has only failed to lift the trophy on one of those occasions.  None have been on clay though. The Russian boasts an excellent record of 33-5 overall but is yet to find his best form on the clay surface. In Monte Carlo, Medvedev reached the quarter-final stage but was beaten by Holger Rune in straight sets, while at the Madrid Masters, the Russian suffered a surprise third-round exit to qualify Aslan Karatsev, also in straight sets. Medvedev is now 4-2 on the clay and will be making his first appearance in Rome in this match, thanks to a buy in the first round. Medvedev beat this opponent convincingly last October on the hard surface at the Astana Open and will fancy his chances of doing it again in this one.
