Elena Rybakina vs Jasmine Paolini Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Stuttgart Open

Fourth seed Elena Rybakina and unseeded Jasmine Paolini will square off in the quarter-finals in Stuttgart next. The winner will then set up a semi-final showdown with Iga Swiatek or Emma Raducanu. Elena Rybakina has advanced to this round for the first time here. In her previous two appearances at the Porsche Grand Prix, the Kazakh lost each time in the second round. This wasn’t the case this time as she battled through three sets to defeat Veronika Kudermetova. The match lasted for two hours and 32 minutes and was her 23rd win of the season. Rybakina has been one of the in-form players this season in the WTA and has lost just four times. This exceptional start has yielded two titles, in Brisbane and Abu Dhabi and runner-up finishes in Doha and Miami. The world number four defeated Paolini on clay in Rome last season.

This could have been the second matchup between Rybakina and Jasmine Paolini this year. Rybakina however withdrew from their scheduled quarterfinal tie in Dubai back in February. This worked in favour of Paolini, who went on to win it all in Dubai and secure her maiden WTA 1000 title. The Italian also defeated Rybakina last year. This was in Cincinnati which was the last time they met. Paolini has compiled a 14-7 record. Two of her wins have come in Stuttgart where she hasn't lost a set. Paolini is making her debut in this WTA 500 event and defeated Ons Jabeur in the last round. She relinquished 10 games to the seventh seed with the win allowing her to move up to 13th in the live ranking.
