Petra Martic is the only remaining qualifier in the Upper Austria Ladies Linz tournament. The Croatian faces fourth-seeded Ekaterina Alexandrova in the quarter-finals of this indoor hard court tournament. Time for our match prediction.

The winner will face either top seed Karolina Muchova or sixth-seeded Anastasia Potapova for a place in the final. Martic was ranked 125th in the latest rankings, a long way below her career-high of 14th achieved five years ago.

Martic had to win two qualifying matches to reach the main draw and did so without losing a set. The 34-year-old beat wild card Eva Lys in round one, losing the middle set. Thursday saw her beat seventh-seeded Elina Avanesyan, again needing a third set.

Ekaterina Alexandrova hasn't made the greatest of starts to 2025. Three of her first four matches were lost, her only win coming against Leylah Annie Fernandez in Adelaide. The Australian Open saw her beaten in round one by Emma Raducanu with both sets going to a tie-break.

Her one match in Linz has seen her beat qualifier Aliaksandra Sasnovich in straight sets. To reach the last four in Linz, Alexandrova must beat Martic for the first time with her opponen having won both of their previous meetings.
