Ebden M / Peers J vs Krajicek A / Ram R Prediction & Betting Tips - Olympic Tournament Doubles

The American pairing of Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram are the fourth seeds in this Olympic tournament. They take on the unseeded Australians Matthew Ebden and John Peers in the Olympic men's doubles final. Who'll win this match, here's our prediction.

Krajicek and Ram have reached the final with three straight sets wins and only 16 games being lost. Ram is fifth in the doubles rankings and has won 31 ATP doubles titles, mostly with British player Joe Salisbury with whom he’s won four Grand Slam championships.

He’s also won an Olympic medal, winning silver in the 2016 Games in the mixed doubles with Venus Williams. Austin Krajicek is 18th in the world rankings and is in his third men’s doubles final at Roland Garros. He won the men’s doubles in Paris with Ivan Dodig last year, one of 12 men's doubles ATP Tour titles.

Representing Australia are Matthew Ebden and John Peers. The unseeded pair have made it to this gold medal match without dropping a set. In the semi-finals, they defeated the third seeds Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul for the loss of seven games.

Ebden is third in the doubles rankings but was in top place earlier this year after winning the Australian Open with Rohan Bopanna. John Peers is only ranked 59th but was high as second seven years ago. Peers already has one Olympic bronze medal, winning that three years ago when teaming up with Ash Barty in the mixed doubles.

He’ll be out for some revenge as his only previous men’s doubles appearance in the Olympics saw him lose against a US team that included Krajicek. We believe he'll have to wait a bit longer for that and tip Krajicek and Ram to win the gold.
