Olimpia Milan will be at home to welcome Virtus Bologna in the penultimate round of the EuroLeague regular season. They arrive for this game sitting 12th in the standings while their Serie A rivals are eighth. Milan will boost their chances of qualifying for the play-in with a win here. Ettore Messina’s men are currently one game away from 10th as they have won 14 of their 32 matches. They however do not have fate in their hands as 10th-placed Efes are also in action on Friday. If Efes win their fixture, Milan will go into the final round of games already eliminated from playoff contention. The Italians have been in good form lately. They have won four of their last five games with two of those wins coming in Europe. Milan have been in fine form at home in Europe where they have won seven times in their last eight such games. This has improved their home record to 11-5. Barcelona and Madrid have been some of the teams that have recently struggled in Milan. Giampaolo Ricci, who has been out for the last month with a thigh problem, will be available for this game. Bologna have had a splendid run against Milan in recent meetings. They will hope this is the case again as they seek to arrest their current slump. Luca Banchi’s men, who have defeated Milan three times in the last four matchups, have lost six of their last seven games. They were defeated 100-93 at home by Pistola in the Serie A last time out.
