This fight has been a year in the making since these two faced off in a bloody battle at UFC 297. where Dricus Du Plessis came out on top via split decision to become the first-ever South African UFC Champion.
Since then, ‘Stillknocks’ has defended his title once, here in Australia, beating none other than Israel Adesanya via a face crank submission in the fourth round to retain the belt.
There are few fighters in the UFC that are more well-matched in terms of the tale of the tape, with both fighters possessing the same height, weight and reach. However, DDP is two years younger and a more well-rounded fighter.
