For the winner, there's a second round match against the second seed Iga Swiatek. Donna Vekic is the world number 20 but only 51st in the WTA Live Race based on points earned this year. The 28-year-old has only won five of her 14 matches played this year.

Two fourth rounds have been reached by the Croatian this year but she's had five first and second round defeats. This is her first clay court tournament of 2025 and last year, Vekic won the silver medal at the Paris Olympics at Roland Garros.

Jana Fett is down at 153rd in the rankings and had to qualify to get into this main draw. Two matches were won but they took her just over five-and-a-half hours. Four tie-breaks were played, including all three sets in her second qualifier against Rebeka Masarova.

A side bet on a tie-break in this match may be profitable. Three ITF clay court tournaments have been played by her this year but she hasn't made it past round two in any. We tip Vekic to win this in straight sets.
