The top seeds are dominating the Men's Singles at the French Open and a semi-final line-up comprising of the top four seeds is looking likely. Dominic Thiem is seeded fourth for this tournament and it's one in which he has done extremely well in. The past three years have seen him make two last-four appearances and then the final last year where he lost to Rafael Nadal. He's already won one clay court tournament this season with a win in Barcelona where he beat Rafael Nadal in the semi-final. He also beat Roger Federer in Madrid so was always going to be a major candidate to go deep into this tournament. His first three round matches all went to four sets but then he broke French hearts with a straight sets win over Gael Monfils.

Karen Khachanov is the tenth seed but is in his first Grand Slam quarter-final. He's reached the fourth round of this tournament for the past two years but came into this year's event after showing patchy form in the first half of 2019. He reached the last eight at Indian Wells but on clay only won one match in his first four tournaments. His form picked up with a couple of wins in Rome but still lost in the last sixteen. The improvement in form has improved in Paris with only two sets lost and one of those was in his fourth round win over eighth seeded Juan Martin del Potro, only his second win over a top ten ranked player this year. Thiem is the form player and he can win this match to reach another French Open semi-final.
