Dominic Thiem vs Arthur Rinderknech Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Kitzbuhel Open

Dominic Thiem, wildcard, and the unseeded Arthur Rinderknech will meet on Thursday at the 2023 Generali Open. The winner of this quarterfinal tie will set up a semifinal showdown with either fifth-seed Laslo Djere or third-seed Pedro Cachin. For the second season in a row, Dominic Thiem has made it to the last eight in Kitzbuhel. A former champion here back in 2019, the Austrian will hope to challenge for the title this year. This is his 10th appearance here. In the last round, he overcame a disappointing first set to defeat Zhang Zhizhen 1-6, 6-3, 6-2. This was his 16th win in a difficult campaign for him where he has lost 20 times. All 16 victories have come on clay. For the last two seasons Thiem, a former US Open champion, has struggled with injuries. At one point last year, he had dropped out of the top 300 places. He is slowly getting back to his old self and is currently ranked 110th in the live ranking.

Arthur Rinderknech is in exceptional form at the moment. The Frenchman has won his last seven matches and arrived in Kitzbuhel after winning the Zug challenger. He also had to come from behind to win in his tournament opener against Juan Manuel Cerundolo. But in the second round, he was more decisive and defeated second see Yannick Hanfmann in straight sets. Rinderknech has had a rocky campaign and has currently lost more matches, 20, than the 19 he has won. His form on clay though has kept his campaign from falling apart. He has won 10 of the 15 matches he has played on the surface. Rinderknech is in his second appearance at the Generali Open. He was last here in 2021 where he made it to the semifinals. Advancing to this round has catapulted him up eight places to 59th in the live ranking.
