Alexander Zverev is two matches away from retaining the ATP World Tour Finals title he won last year. It was felt that his victory might see him move up the rankings and win more tournaments in 2019 but it hasn't really worked out that way, especially in Grand Slams. He struggled to get through his group this week losing in straight sets to Stefanos Tsitsipas but wins over Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev saw him reach this semi-final.

Dominic Thiem has had a successful year and not just on his beloved clay. He's yet to win this tournament but his victory at Indian Wells this year shows just what he is capable of when in top form. He began this week well with victories over Roger Federer and Matteo Berrettini but then lost in three sets to Novak Djokovic. Thiem has won five of his previous seven matches against Alexander Zverev. He'd be happy if reproducing the form of their last match. He beat Zverev at the 2018 French Open, losing just seven games in three sets. Zverev did beat him on clay in Madrid but before that Thiem got the win over him on this surface in Rotterdam two years ago. The tip here is for over 21.5 games to be played in the match.
