Djokovic vs Nishikori Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Italian Open
by | in ATP Italian Open Predictions
Novak Djokovic totally dominates men's tennis at present. Just look at the ranking points he's won which are more than double those of second placed Roger Federer and nearly four times as many as Kei Nishikori who he faces in this semi-final. Djokovic is supreme on all surfaces at the moment and must get that first French Open this year. He's won 33 out of 35 matches this year and won all 12 of his matches against players in the top ten winning all five of the tournament finals he's reached and it's only May. Against Nishikori he has won eight out of ten matches (plus a walkover) and all of the last seven. Nishikori has taken three sets off him in those matches but lost in straight sets to Djokovic in the Madrid Masters last week though he did take the world number one to a tie-break in the second set. Nishikori's last win over Djokovic was in the 2014 US Open semi-final but he's lost all his matches to Djokovic that have taken place on clay. Nishikori is in good form though making the semi-final in Madrid last week and losing to Rafael Nadal in the final in Barcelona. He also lost to Djokovic in the final of the Miami Open earlier this year. Djokovic is in great form though, head and shoulders above his rivals at present and can win this in straight sets though at least one might be pretty close.
