Rafael Nadal is just two wins away from winning the French Open for a fourth straight year. Yet another triumph in Paris would make it a record 13 titles and he takes on Diego Schwartzman in the last four. Nadal has hardly been tested on his way to this semi-final. Five matches have been played and only 34 games have been dropped by the second seed without a single set lost. It's not been the hardest of draws for Nadal though. He hasn't had to face any seeded players and this match against Schwartzman is by far his toughest to date in Paris. The Spaniard knows that as he lost to Schwartzman in the recent Rome Masters. Before that though, Nadal had won all nine of their previous meetings with four of those being on clay. That includes a quarter final in Paris three years ago, that Nadal won in four sets.

Diego Schwartzman is seeded 12th and caused a major shock when beating recent US Open winner Dominic Thiem. He led by a set in that match but then trailed 2-1 before fighting back to get a great win. Before defeating Thiem, he hadn't dropped a set in this tournament and that followed a run to the final of the Rome Masters, losing to Novak Djokovic (but beating Nadal on the way). Schwartzman is in his first ever Grand Slam semi-final after three previous quarter final appearances. Clay is his strongest surface and it suits his strong baseline play. He will give Nadal a stern test. A bet on over 31.5 games being played in this match is the suggested wager.
