The Detroit Pistons will look to finally put an end to their record-setting losing streak when they host the Toronto Raptors on Saturday. The Pistons were incredibly close to pulling off a stunning upset against the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden on Thursday. Detroit led by as many as 21 points against the best team in the NBA but couldn’t ultimately seal the deal. Boston would eventually come back and send the game to overtime, leading to a 128-122 loss for the Pistons. The defeat makes it 28 losses in a row for Detroit, tying the all-time cumulative losing record in the NBA. The Pistons already hold the single-season losing streak record and would set the cumulative record with another defeat here. They return to the Little Caesars Arena where they are 1-14 on the season.

The Raptors also faced off against the Boston Celtics recently, falling in a close 120-118 game on Friday night. The defeat was the fifth loss in the last seven for Toronto and seventh in their last 10. Additionally, the only wins the Raptors have managed during that time have come against the Wizards, Hornets and Hawks, teams with a combined 25-67 record. They’ll have a quick turnaround here as they face the second leg of a road back-to-back. The scheduling makes this an extremely tricky spot for the Celtics and puts them at serious risk of being the team to finally lose to the Pistons. Toronto has a poor road record with only four wins from 14 trips. This is the sixth back-to-back that the Raptors are playing this season where they have posted a 2-3 overall record.
