On Sunday, we head back to the Little Caesars Arena for Game 4 of the NBA Playoff series between the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks. The Knicks beat the Pistons in Game 3 to take a 2-1 lead in the series. Let’s get into the match prediction.

This series has arguably been the most well-balanced one during the first round of the Playoffs, with the Detroit Pistons now needing to respond after getting edged 118-116 in the last match. 

Despite solid performances from Tim Hardaway and Cade Cunningham, who scored 24 points apiece, Detroit still came up just short, and that result marked their eighth consecutive home Playoff loss since 2008.

However, the defeat was not due to a lack of effort, as the team rallied back very well from a 13-point deficit at halftime and could have won the match had it not been for Jalen Brunson’s big fourth quarter.

Indeed, Brunson scored an impressive 12 points in the final period, while Karl-Anthony Towns started quickly, draining 11 of his 31 points in the first quarter.

What was evident was that the Knicks clearly addressed their issues from Game 2, with four of their five starters scoring 20+ points in the victory. 

They were also much better on the defensive end, recording seven blocks and 11 steals, while forcing the Pistons into 14 turnovers, all of which they will try to replicate in Game 4.
