The NBA Playoff series between the Detroit Pistons and the New York Knicks will shift to the Little Caesars Arena for Game 3 on Thursday night. The Knicks won Game 1, but the Pistons levelled the series with a 100-94 win on Monday. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

You simply can’t help but root for the Detroit Pistons if you’re a neutral. This is a team that won just 14 games last season, and now they are the ones that nobody wants to come up against. 

Detroit were evidently disappointed by blowing an eight-point lead in Game 1. However, they made sure not to repeat the same mistake in Game 2, holding off the Knicks, who came surging back in the fourth quarter of Sunday. 

Cade Cunningham was the star of this team all season and has top-scored for them in both Playoff games so far. But the key to the victory last time out was that he got some much-needed support from Dennis Schroder, who scored 20 points off the bench. 

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks were well below par in the last match, and had they not put together a 21-0 run in the fourth quarter, the result would have looked a lot worse. 

Jalen Brunson scored 14 points during that run en route to 37, but unlike Cunningham, New York’s star man struggled for support, with Karl-Anthony Towns posting just 10 points. 

There was plenty of discussion over questionable officiating in the last match, but rather than living in the past, the Knicks will need to use that to fire them up in this one.
