The Denver Nuggets bid to win their 14th game of the season. They are second in the Northwest division of the Western Conference and host the Washington Wizards, second in the Southeast division of the Eastern Conference. Denver are 13-13 for the season and six wins behind their division leaders Utah. Overall in the Western Conference, Denver are eighth and  couple of wins behind sixth placed LA Lakers. They come into this game having won two of their last three matches, the most recent being a 15 point win at San Antonio Spurs, avenging a defeat two days before that. Home form this season has seen Denver win seven out of 11 games.

Washington have a 15-12 season record and are only a win behind division leaders Miami Heat. They sit in seventh place in a tight Eastern Conference table. While eight out of 12 have been won at home, they have a 7-8 record on the road. They are not in good form at present though having lost four of their last five matches. The only wn was a three-point overtime success over Detroit who have only won four games this season. Back Denver to get a home victory here.
