The Denver Nuggets will host the Portland Trail Blazers for the second night of a back-to-back in the NBA between the two. They have improved to third in the Western Conference whereas their visitors are down in 13th place. Below is our prediction for this match.

The Nuggets blew out the Blazers 146-117 on the first night of this back-to-back. This was their seventh successive victory and earned them their best stretch of results this season.

Mike Malone’s men have been in terrific form and their current winning streak has allowed them to move to 16 games above .500. The Nuggets, who sit 1.5 games from second place in the West, have compiled a 35-19 record.

The Blazers struggled from inside the arc in the first game and will be eager to improve this and avoid another blowout. Chauncey Billups’ men shot under 50% from 2-point range whereas their hosts shot 79% from inside the arc.

The Blazers shot well from three, better than their hosts and also showed good composure from the free-throw line. Monday’s defeat was the second straight loss for the Blazers who have been in great form for the last three weeks.

Before this slump, Portland, who has managed a 23-31 record, had lost just once in 11 games.
