Denver Nuggets continue to struggle in this play-off semi-final against the Phoenix Suns. Three games have been played in this best-of-seven-series and all have been won by the Suns. Matches numbers one and two were both played in Phoenix and the Suns took full advantage of that. Denver led in the first match but the second half was dominated by the home side who went on to win the opening game by 17 points. The Suns had an even more comfortable win in the second match, winning that one by 25 points. The venue for the third and fourth matches is the Ball Arena in Denver with the Nuggets needing to win both or at worse one of them. That didn't work in the third game though as the Suns got a win by 14 points. The Suns got off to a great start winning the first quarter by ten points. Denver fought back and were only four down at half-time. Out came the Suns to win the third quarter by 10 points to go 14 clear and that's how it finished. 3-0 to the Suns and Denver have to win this match or the Suns will progress to the Western Conference final against either Utah Jazz or the LA Clippers (Utah 2-1 up at present). The Suns have been dominant in this semi-final and can win this to go through 4-0.
