The Denver Nuggets have seen an improvement in their performance after losing three consecutive matches in a five-game road trip. 

Michael Malone's men head into this game after beating the struggling New Orleans Pelicans 123-113 at home, marking their third consecutive win. 

Michael Porter Jr. led the team with 36 points, but Nikola Jokic proved indispensable. Jokic notched a triple-double finishing with 27 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. 

It's quite obvious that the New Orleans Pelicans enter their second game of the two-game series against the Nuggets, aiming to avoid another defeat. 

In their recent outing, they were on the receiving end of a 125-113 away defeat against the Nuggets. Trey Murphy III was the standout player as he scored a career-high 41 points while CJ McCollum added 30 points. 

Coming into this game, the Pelicans find themselves in bad shape. They have lost six straight matches and that is a significant dip in performance for a team that was on a high winning four straight matches.
