The Denver Nuggets have won five of their last eight games and will be brimming with confidence here after beating the formidable OKC Thunder 140-127 on Monday night. 

Nikola Jokic put in another big performance of 35 points, 18 rebounds and eight assists, while Jamal Murray also had a solid outing, scoring 34 points and six assists.

The Nuggets are the third-highest-scoring team in the NBA this season, averaging 121.5 points per game, though they allow 116.6 PPG - 24th in the league. 

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been enjoying an impressive run of form, now riding a five-match win streak after beating the Spurs 141-124 on Sunday night. 

Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid combined for 45 points, while as a team, Minnesota shot a solid 55% from the field and converted an excellent 21 of 42 from the three-point line. 

The Timberwolves are averaging 112.8 points per game (19th in the league), but their major strength has come on the defensive end, where they allow just 109.2 PPG (sixth overall).
