The penultimate quarter-final in the Men’s Handball competition at the Paris 2024 Olympics will see Denmark taking on Sweden on Wednesday evening. The winner of this match will move on to face either Norway or Slovenia in the semi-final. Let’s take a look at the prediction.

Denmark have been the pick of the teams in Paris this year, as they proved too good for the rest in Group B. They won their group and are the only side in the competition with a perfect five-from-five record. 

The Danes beat France 37-29, Egypt 30-27, Argentina 38-27, Hungary 28-25 and Norway 32-25. They were also the highest-scoring team in the group stage and the second-lowest conceding.

Denmark are now unbeaten in their last 10 matches in all competitions and have won their last two against their upcoming opponents. 

Meanwhile, Sweden drew the Group B winners having finished fourth in Group A with six points in their five matches, edging Croatia and Japan to the fourth and final qualification spot.

During the group stage, they won three matches, including against Spain 29-26, Croatia 38-27 and Japan 40-27, while losing to Germany 30-27 and Slovenia 29-24. With those results, the Swedes have now split their last 10 matches with five wins and five losses. 

In the last 10 matches against Denmark dating back to 2017, Sweden have only won twice.
